God’s Great “I” in Joshua 23-24 (click here)
Joshua is the father of “the Family Church.” As his ministry came to an end, he testified, “As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
But why serve the LORD? As we journey together in our daily Bible readings, I pray that you see what Joshua saw, “Not one of all the good promises the LORD your God gave you has failed.”
God’s great promises do not fail because they do not depend on our ability, but only on God. As you read Joshua 24, highlight God’s great “I.” Over and over again, the LORD announces what he has done, in spite of the failures of his people. Rejoice in the amazing grace seen in God’s Great “I”!

Paul continues to deal with those who claimed that salvation depended on obeying the Old Testament laws. Even the apostle Peter was led astray. God grant us wisdom and love to speak as Paul did. When we see people acting out of fear that maybe they need to do more to make God love them, may we remind them of God’s Great “I” of the New Testament. Remind them that the Savior is saying, “I loved you and I gave myself for you.”
God bless our worship together today. If you have young children at home, take a look at the attached Kids Club study material. Hope to see many of you at our Food Drive (see flyer attached).
