Does Your Neighbor Smell You?

by Pastor Pete Panitzke on July 25, 2020

In our New Testament lesson (read 2 Corinthians 2:1-3:6 here), Paul mentions that we are “the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life.”
What a responsibility! To always live to God’s glory.
That’s one of the reasons why I appreciate our Old Testament lesson (read Proverbs 13-15 here). King Solomon pricks my conscience by his references to our conversations with one another. How many words have we spoken that fail to produce “the aroma of Christ”!
Thanks be to God, we have forgiveness through Christ. Claim that marvelous forgiveness by reading Psalm 103.
