1. Make Sure to Go to Your Wedding (Watch the Video Devotion here)
In our Old Testament lesson (find Isaiah 60-62 here) Isaiah reminds us that we, the Church, are the Bride of Christ. When spiritual and emotional darkness threatens to overwhelm you, remember what the LORD calls you: "Hephzibah." The LORD's delight is in you, his beautiful bride, clothed in perfect wedding garments, the righteousness of Christ. Paul in our New Testament lesson (find Philippians 2:19-3:11 here) reminds us that if the LORD loves us in Christ, that is all that we really need.
2. Kids Club begins in-person this weekend!
Nearly 60 children have registered for Kids Club in-person. Click here to register your child(ren). The Kids Club Newsletter with more information is attached. Dr. Nelson will continue to produce the weekly Kids Club Family Resources (click here for the Oct 4 edition) to serve the families who cannot join us in person and to help the children who do attend to dig deeper into God's Word.
3. Register for the Responding to Abuse Seminar (click here)
On Saturday, October 17, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm Michelle Markgraf of WELS Kingdom Workers will present a seminar to which all members of the congregation are invited. In the seminar we will learn about the different forms of abuse, the effects of abuse on the survivor, and how our church and community can help survivors. Michelle served as executive director of The Compass Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota from 2015 to 2019. The Compass Center provides free services to survivors of sexual and domestic violence.
4. Join us in-person or online for worship
Click here for our service times. Our largest attended service is the 9:15 am service. We will begin livestreaming the service into the Grace Room to provide more opportunities to worship with your sisters and brothers in Christ and still maintain social distance.
Our Traditional Service will be live streamed at 9:15 am and The Bridge will be live streamed at 10:15 am. Both will be available on our Online Resource Page (click here).
God bless you, Hephzibah! The LORD's delight is in you!
