We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through our music with excellence, as opposed to a performance-based approach.
Below you will find a list of ways you can serve in our Music Ministry!
Our Bridge Band serves our Sunday morning Contemporary worship services. Our smaller worship environment in Milwaukee seats up to 180 people. Our larger worship environment in Muskego seats up to 400 people.
Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings for the Milwaukee campus and Thursday evenings for the Muskego campus.
Our choir serves our Traditional worship services, but will on occasion join our Bridge Band in our Contemporary services. Our anthems are gospel-centered and serve as encouragement to the congregation. Previous choir experience is not required but the ability to read a basic melody line is helpful.
Rehearsals: Monday nights, September – May.
Our handbell choir serves our Traditional worship services. New ringers are not required to have experience in playing bells, but it is helpful to have a basic knowledge of reading music. A new ringer can expect expert instruction from the director and other players. We have a 5 octave handbell set and a 3 octave choir chime set.
Rehearsals: Tuesday nights, September – May.
Our String Ensemble (Violin, Viola, Cello, String Bass) serves our Traditional worship services and will occasionally join our Bridge Band in our Contemporary service.
The ability to read and count music at an intermediate level and where those notes are on your instrument is required. To support the needs of worship, we play pieces that go from beginner level to more advanced (especially if we accompany the choir), and members can choose to play only the pieces they are comfortable with.
Rehearsals: Monday nights, year-round.
For our Traditional worship services, both organ and piano are acceptable instruments to accompany and lead our congregation in praise. Previous experience in accompanying worship is not required, but helpful.
Our Lead Organist will help all new members with attaining proficiency in leading congregational singing and choosing appropriate musical selections for pre/post service and Communion meditation.
Rehearsal on the organ or grand piano will be arranged on an as-needed basis.
