Worship this evening at 7 pm & Enjoy the snow

Posted by Pastor Pete Panitzke on

We will have our regular Wednesday  worship service at 7 pm. Join us as we see our Savior's compassion when he touches a leper and says, "Be clean!"

If you can't join us in person, you can watch the message by clicking here.

Please keep in your prayers our school open house on Sunday. If you know anyone who might be interested in Christian Education, encourage them to talk with our Principal Seth Fitzsimmons. Email him at

Enjoy the snow!

It can snow in Jerusalem, and even during the summer you can see snow on the heights of Mt. Hermon. So there are some great passages about snow in the Bible.

Celebrate God's Power!

God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways;
he does great things beyond our understanding.
He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’
and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’
So that everyone he has made may know his work,
he stops all people from their labor. (Job 37:5-7)
(They even had "snow days" in Job's time!)
Celebrate God's Mercy!

“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. (Isaiah 1:18)

Celebrate the Power of God's Word!

As the rain and the snow
    come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
    without watering the earth
11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10-11)

As the snow becomes almost blindingly white now with the sun coming out, celebrate this foretaste of the Glory of God that we shall see when we see Jesus like John did in Revelation 1.

Among the lampstands was someone like a son of man, dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. 15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. (Revelation 1:13-15)

I don't like to shovel snow. I don't like to play in the snow. But I love the messages the snow proclaims to me.

Hope you enjoy the snow too!

Pastor Pete
