The next truth - Unconditional Gospel

Posted by Pastor Pete Panitzke on

This is one of the questions we received last week:
I have a close friend who is gay and struggles with his feelings and believes he is bound for hell. He doesn’t feel worthy to come to church. I assured him God loves him still, to keep the faith in Jesus his Savior. Any other solutions for talking with him?
This question is at the heart of our message for this weekend. Is there hope for someone in the LGBTQ community or anyone else who is struggling with a sin?
Join us as we look at a story that Jesus told to a mixed group of “sinners” and what I called “pious judges” a few weeks ago. Read the story by clicking here.
Find worship times here. Remember there is a staffed nursery at all Sunday services except 7:45 am.
Watch The Bridge online on Sunday at 10:15 am by clicking here or watch it on The Bridge at St. Paul’s Facebook page. You can replay the entire Bridge service on YouTube at The Bridge Church Muskego (click here).
The message from the sanctuary, is available Sunday evening by going to Past messages are also available for viewing or podcast.
Gay and God

We handed out 350 copies of Pastor Novotny's little book Gay and God. If you hare finished reading your copy, consider returning it to the Welcome Center so that others can read it. You can also receive it directly from Time of Grace Ministry. Click here.

Church Dinner 10 am to 2 pm
This Sunday is our annual church dinner from 10 am to 2 pm. There is no charge, but a freewill offering is requested. Proceeds from the chicken dinner will go toward A Cool Million, allowing us to improve the Centennial Gym and replace the roof of the church this summer.
Sign the Check – Cool Million
We are still $34,000 short of our goal of $500,000 and being able to “sign the check” and give our fifth $10,000 tithe gift to Garden Homes Lutheran Church and School. Click here to give online either from your checking/savings account or credit card.
Jane Schwartz of our staff has drawn a poster-sized check that we will all sign this weekend in anticipation of presenting the check to Garden Homes in March.
School 50th Anniversary
As part of our Lutherans School week, we are celebrating the 50thanniversary of our school. The first part of our school was built as a Youth Center in 1958 in celebration of St. Paul’s Centennial. Ten years later in 1968, our school began with two teachers. Mr. Fitzsimmons has been posting “Did You Know” stories to St. Paul’s Lutheran School – Muskego, WI Facebook page. Attached are those stories.
One parent wrote:

"What I like about these history lessons is that it reminds us all of the fact that we stand on the shoulders of men and women who dreamed about sharing Christ with people in the community. And that God willing, one day people will be standing on ours!" Amen!
We encourage you to ask to become a part of the St. Paul’s Lutheran School – Muskego, WI Facebook group and enjoy seeing some of the great things that are happening at our school.
