Here I Stand! — New series this weekend!

Posted by Pastor Pete Panitzke on

Dr. Martin Luther stood before Charles V, the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, the most powerful man in Europe. He was facing condemnation and death. “Will you recant?” Luther was asked.
What courage! Luther stood before this powerful man and responded, “I cannot. I will not recant. Here I stand. I can do no other. God help me.”
we are not likely to stand before such a powerful human judge, but every one of us will have to stand before a much more powerful divine Judge. What can give anyone the strength to stand before that place of judgment?
Luther discovered in his study of Scriptures the strength to stand before God as Judge. Because of that he could stand before Charles V as his human judge and declare, “Here I stand!”
During our celebration of the 500th anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation, we want to reclaim that confidence that Luther had… a confidence based on grace alone, faith alone, Scripture alone and Christ alone.
Join us this weekend as we celebrate: Grace Alone!

Mission Opportunities

We have three new mission opportunities... one that you can do from your own home, and two new mission partner opportunities. See the attached article.

Resident Missionary

On Wednesday evening we called Rev. Nathan Strobel to serve St. Paul's as our fourth pastor in the role of Resident Missionary, helping the many guests who come to our campus month after month grow closer to Christ. Rev. Strobel currently serves as Vice President of Student Life at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Over the next month through discussions and prayer, he will seek to determine where God can best use his gifts in His service. Please include him in your prayers.

Hope to see many of you in worship this weekend!

Your brother in Christ,

Pastor Pete
