Hearts, School, Chicken

Posted by Pastor Pete Panitzke on

Today our classrooms are celebrating Valentine's Day. What a wonderful day to remember the Savior's love for each of us:

“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends" (John 15:9-13).

We always know what is in our Father's heart when we look at life through Jesus. God grant that we always remember what our children heard in our school chapel today: In Christ, I matter. In Christ, I am loved. In Christ, I am enough.

This Sunday Lutheran Schools Week ends here at St. Paul's. We are very close to 90% re-enrollment for next year already! If you know anyone who might be interested in Christian education for their child, ask Mr. Fitzsimmons for a tour here.  There is information about the School Choice program and tuition assistance in the St. Paul's news attached.

And yes, very soon our school will smell like chicken because St. Paul's Annual Chicken Dinner is this Sunday from 10 am to 1 pm. There is a freewill offering. Anything received beyond cost will go toward A Cool Million. You will see several of the benefits of A Cool Million at the chicken dinner--new windows in the Centennial Gym, new heating/air conditioning, new ceiling finish and new shingles and roof insulation. Thank you for your generous support. You can donate online here.

There are three Estate Planning Coaching sessions available this Tuesday, Feb 18 (5, 6 & 7 pm). Learn more here  or schedule an appointment.  Join us at the Estate Planning Lunch and Learn on Saturday, Feb 22 from 11:30 to 1:30 pm. Register by reply email.

This weekend we continue our Culture Shift message series: When Men Become Sacrificial. Watch the previous messages:

Hope to see many of you this weekend. If I don't shake hands, it is because I've been eating chicken :-)

God bless!
