5 Ways to Prepare for Easter

Posted by Pastor Pete Panitzke on

1. Powerful Stories of Faith Prepare Us for Easter

“Now I believe.” These were strange words for our Malawi Mission Partner John Holtz to hear from his fellow pastor. Read the newsletter to hear how Easter faith prepares us for the saddest days of our lives.

Pray for Pastor Holtz as he has been called to leave Malawi to serve in a similar position in India. May the Holy Spirit lead him and his family to know where he can best use his gifts to share our Easter faith.

2. Lenten Worship Prepares Us for Easter

Join us this weekend (worship times here) as we continue our “Love” message series seeing how “Love Protects.” Read John 2:13-22 and John 19:25-27 to prepare for the message.

If you can’t join us in person, join the dozens of people who worship with us online Live at the Bridge on Sunday at 10:15 am.

You can also watch our Weekend Lenten messages and our Midweek Lenten messages.

This Wednesday, the soup supper between the 3:30 and 7:00 pm services will be hosted by Stony Creek Adult Community. All proceeds from the soup supper will support our Mexican Mission Partner Costa Maya Ministries.

Follow our former teacher Dan Thiel and his ministry there on Facebook.

3. Easter for Kids Prepares Families for Easter

Register your children (ages 3 to 12 years old) here for our Easter for Kids on Saturday, March 24 from 9:00 to 11:45 am. Children will be invited to return to sing at The Bridge on the next day which is Palm Sunday. If you would like to join the team of volunteers who make this gift to our children possible, email Joel Nelson at .

4. Easter Invitations Prepare Us for Easter

Share our Good Friday and Easter service schedule with your friends and pray that God would lead them to come and hear the story of Life that never ends.

5. Baptisms Prepare Us for Easter

Tomorrow we are blessed to have four baptisms at St. Paul’s! Read Romans 6:1-14 to go back to your own baptism and see how your baptism is linked to Easter.

Some Fun

Enjoy the time lapse video of our many volunteers setting up The Bridge last Sunday. What amazing evidence of an Easter faith that these men and women give so generously week after week so that hundreds can worship at The Bridge each Sunday.
Hope to see many of you in worship tomorrow.

Your brother in Christ,
Pastor Pete
