TUG (Teens Under God) is a unique ministry for teens – members of St. Paul’s and their friends – held in the Trinity Café and Gym on St. Paul's campus the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month . TUG provides teens with worship, education, fellowship, recreation, and service opportunities as well as time to develop Christian relationships with each other and adult mentors within a safe, caring, supportive, and fun environment.
One Sunday is used as a time to kick back, enjoy some food, interact, and engage with other teens and leaders around God’s Word and real-life topics of interest. It uses a Study, Prayer, Reach, Care, and Empower model. The other Sunday will be whatever social, recreational, or service activity teens agree to and arrange.
TUG runs from 6:30-8:00 p.m. unless a special social, recreational, or service activity requires more time. For more information, contact Dr. Joel Nelson .
Why the name TUG?
- St. Paul’s wants its teens under God (TUG), having a great relationship with Christ and being guided by him.
- Teens today have a lot tugging at them, and they need spiritual support and encouragement.
- Like a kite string tugging on the person holding it, the Holy Spirit through faith, connects a teen to God (the kite), and though you may not always see God (the kite), you know he’s there and can feel his tug and guidance on your life.
